Relationships
Humans are relational; whether it’s your relationship to friends, family, coworkers, lovers, substances like coffee, or even your relationship to apps on your phone. We are in constant relationship, especially to ourselves.
How can you move through relational stressors with more ease, so that conflict doesn’t escalate damage. How others relate to you and how you relate to others, can be a source of pain and hardship. For individuals or partnerships, I want to empower you with awareness and solid tools that support creating the change you hope for in your relationships.
Sex Positive Therapy + your relationship with Sex
Finally a space where you can talk about sex, kink, intimacy, and desire without censorship, and it’s confidential! Has intimacy in your partnerships been an area of tension or misunderstanding? Do you want to talk about open, polyamorous, or an ethically non-monogamous relationship? It may be hard to share about vulnerable aspects of sex and intimacy. I want to help you, in feeling more assured and confident.
LGBTQIA+ Affirmative Therapy
Exploring your queer identities can often create unjust difficult challenges with family, friends, religion, or employment. Understandably, it may be hard to talk about these topics with others. With care and curiosity, I'll support you in finding more clarity, boundaries in your relationships, and discovering what being queer means to you.
Queer Spectrum
Not only do I honor the spectrum of people’s identities, I celebrate you! Gender and sexuality are on a spectrum and alive, and for those that do not feel they fit in a binary box that the world wants you to be in, it can be extremely frustrating, hurtful, or scary. Let’s talk about it, and make space for what feels like there is no space.
People of Color
In a world violently colonized, and made whiteness “supreme,” a person of color has the challenge of having their stories valued. This can often impact our mental health when dealing with racism, colorism, marginalization, or micro-aggressions.
In your intimate relationships, mixed race or cultural differences can benefit from support navigating understanding, compromise, and power dynamics. Having intersecting oppressed identities, such as myself being queer and a person of color, can compound daily stressors.
How do you maintain your wellness, in a white-biased society that actively opposes your growth or power? Let’s talk about it, and build your inner freedom and empowerment.
